Giant particle size effect was found in several dielectric crystals. In the case of III-IV phase transition of CsZnPO4 (CZP), it was not observed for single crystals smaller than 0.1 mm, while the larger crystals than 0.25 mm showed the structural phase transition at 220 K. The thermodynamic studies were made by high-percision adiabatic calorimetry, by high-energy synchrotron-radiation X-ray diffractometry at SPring-8, and by polarization microscope. The anomaly due to the phase transition could be seen in the the heat capacity curve, and the structural change was detected in the diffracton data. The mechanism of the phase transition was discussed.
